WILLIAM A. WHITTENBERGER, BSME, MBA, PE
President

Bill has over 20 years of design and manufacturing experience with metal substrate catalytic converters, and is a recognized authority in the field.  He is the inventor or co-inventor of numerous patents relating to catalytic converters.  He is the primary inventor of the first electrically heated catalyst used by California Air Resources Board to force the current LEV and ULEV emission standards.  He has significant experience in the design, installation, and operation of metal processing equipment around the world.

PHILIP C. FURBER, J.D., CPA
Vice President, Administration

Phil has broad business experience, having used both legal and accounting disciplines in business environments.  He has practiced law for 25 years, 10 of which he served as managing partner of his law firm.  His practice focused on small business counseling and consulting, contractual relations, intellectual property licensing, business purchases, sales and reorganizations, and family succession planning.  Prior to entering the practice of law, he worked in public accounting, and as a tax specialist with Society National Bank.  He has served on numerous Boards of Trustees, Boards of Directors, and Boards of Advisors, and has technical articles published in industry and trade magazines.

WILLIAM B. RETALLICK, PhD, PE
Vice President, Research

Bill is well recognized authority on catalysts.  He has worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Company, Air Products and Chemicals, and Oxy Catalyst, Inc., and has been an independent consultant for over 20 years.  Since 1981 he has been an industry advisor for a chemical plant design course at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is the inventor or co-inventor of 22 patents on technology licensed to a Fortune 100 company for the manufacture of catalytic converters for automobiles, gas turbines and other emission sources.  The converters have been in commercial production since 1987.  He has received several SBIR and DOE awards in his career, and has numerous publications.

SUDIPTA CHATTOPADHYAY, PhD
Principal Scientist

Sudipta received her Ph.D. in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in December, 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh. She has worked on micro-reactors, reaction engineering and numerical simulations as a Research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa. Sudipta has worked on reaction engineering, mathematical modeling and surface science investigations as a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research, Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany, and diffusion modeling, high temperature experiments on silicate materials, and setting up a high pressure laboratory as a research Fellow at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany.

DAVID A. BECKER, B.A.
Plant Manager

David has over 21 years of experience in the development of metal substrate catalytic converters and associated processing and manufacturing methods.  David was instrumental in the development and implementation of the manufacturing process, methods, and business systems employed by Camet, W.R. Grace, and Engelhard Corp. at the Hiram, Ohio facility.  At that facility, David has held the key administrative positions of Production Manager, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator, IT/IS Coordinator, Acting Site Controller, and performed Purchasing, and Inventory Control tasks.

CHARLES R. COPPLE, BSME, MBA
Sales Manager

Charles has in excess of 40 years of experience in the catalyst field.  He is past Director of Engineering and Manufacturing of several major chemical companies.  Charles designed, built and installed chemical, catalyst, facilities and all over the world both as a team leader of major corporations and as an independent consultant.  He also, designed and installed catalytic converters for stationary engines throughout the world.  He is inventor and co-inventor of several patents of production machinery and biomass reactors and processes, and has received several awards is his career.
